The cottage was just what we needed for a short family break. It was exceptionally well equipped. It was comfortable and cosy, but there was enough space, certainly downstairs, for a family of 5 with three older teenagers. The bunk beds in one bedroom weren't the most ideal for our family, but I am sure wouldn't be an issue with much younger children.
Location was good. Decent drive to Durham and Newcastle but not too far. Because we were there late October we weren't able to explore the countryside due to the weather. Hartlepool historic quay was a fantastic find though!
Overall, great value for money and would return.
